Abstract

Introduction: Pediatric tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant global public health issue. Renal TB accounts for less than 5% of reported cases. The genitourinary tract is the most common site of extrapulmonary TB, although it is considered a rare condition in the pediatric population. Case report: We report the case of an 11-year-old female patient who presented with hematuria and recurrent urinary tract infections. She underwent surgical treatment (right nephroureterectomy and left pyeloplasty) and was diagnosed with renal TB based on histopathological examination of the surgical specimen. Conclusions: Multidisciplinary management is essential in the care of pediatric patients with urinary tract tuberculosis.
